To ask the Secretary of State for International Development, what financial contribution her Department has made as part of its work with the World Bank, the UN Development Programme and the European Commission on a joint analysis of the linkages between environment and poverty.

Mr. Bercow: :To ask the Secretary of State for International Development what financial contribution her Department has made as part of its work with the World Bank, the UN Development Programme and the European Commission on a joint analysis of the linkages between environment and poverty. [67490] Clare Short: :My Department has contributed to a joint paper with the World Bank, the United Nations Development Programme and the European Commission on the linkages between poverty reduction and environmental management. We made no financial contribution as part of this work and no new research or analysis was commissioned. Publishing and editing costs were covered by the World Bank. Our contribution was in staff time.
