Mr. Rosindell: To ask the Secretary of State for Health (1) how many non-medical staff are employed by the NHS in the London borough of Havering; [182819] (2) how many non-medical staff are employed in each of London's NHS trusts. [182825] Mr. Hutton: This data is not collected by London borough. However the boundaries of primary care trusts (PCTs) are co-terminous with London boroughs. The table shows the number of non medical staff employed in each of the London national health service trusts including Havering Primary Care Trust. The non medical staff grouping includes nurses, health care assistants, technicians, administration staff etc. but does not include doctors employed in either the acute or primary care sector.
