Proceeding contribution from Lord Stoddart of Swindon (Independent Labour) in the House of Lords on Thursday, 16 June 2005. It occurred during Debate on bill on Fishery Limits (United Kingdom) Bill [HL].

Fishery Limits (United Kingdom) Bill [HL]

My Lords, the Minister said that the Government do not support the Bill. That means that they oppose it. However, the tradition is for the Government to remain neutral in Private Members’ Bills and I hope that both he and the Government will hold to that.
