Equality Bill [HL]

My Lords, I listened with interest and concern to the stories recounted to the House by the noble Lord, Lord Alli. I should tell him that only two weeks ago a friend of mine told me two very similar stories about discrimination in medical services that were given to lesbian women, where the person concerned thought that it was improper that they should receive treatment. My colleague and I think that is quite disgraceful. I am quite sure that the Government will take away these problems and consider how they can be helped.
