Proceeding contribution from Lord Rowlands (Labour) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 1 November 2005. It occurred during Debate on bill on Transport (Wales) Bill.
Transport (Wales) Bill
My Lords, I apologise for interrupting the noble Lord. But has he looked at the powers in the Railways Act 2005 relating to Wales? They devolve to Wales responsibility for the very powers which I think he is seeking. There is no point in duplicating them in another Bill if they are already in an Act of Parliament.
