Proceeding contribution from Lord Evans of Temple Guiting (Labour) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 18 October 2005. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Commissioner for Older People (Wales) Bill [HL].

Commissioner for Older People (Wales) Bill [HL]

In response to my noble friend Lord Rowlands and the noble Lord, Lord Roberts of Conwy, we need to communicate our views in this area, because an important point is being made. If I may, I should like to deal with it in correspondence between now and the second day of Committee, because without a full brief on what is an extremely important matter, I may—as I did on Second Reading—say some things that are slightly misleading. I should certainly not want to do that on a matter of this importance. If the noble Lords agree, I undertake to communicate with them before the next day of Committee. On Question, amendment agreed to.
