Proceeding contribution from Lord Livsey of Talgarth (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 18 October 2005. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Commissioner for Older People (Wales) Bill [HL].

Commissioner for Older People (Wales) Bill [HL]

I shall respond briefly to what the noble Lord has just said. I wholly agree with the principles that the noble Lord, Lord Rowlands, has mentioned, but the problem is that we have a settlement at the moment, but we may have a totally different situation within 12 months and we will have to amend the Bill. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn. [Amendment No. 28 not moved.] [Amendment No. 29 not moved.] Clause 2 ordered to stand part of the Bill. Clause 3 [Review of discharge of functions]: [Amendment No. 30 not moved.]
