Proceeding contribution from Lord Roberts of Conwy (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 18 October 2005. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Commissioner for Older People (Wales) Bill [HL].

Commissioner for Older People (Wales) Bill [HL]

We have raised some important subjects here. These are both still pretty nebulous areas, even after the noble Lord’s enlightening replies. As I said, there is a lack of clarity as to the criteria that will be used in relation to Amendment No. 33, and there is a similar lacuna of certainty in relation to the area of arrangements for the provision of services as referred to in Amendment No. 35. Nevertheless, at this stage, I reserve my position, and shall study the noble Lord’s words with care at leisure. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn.
