Proceeding contribution from Baroness Scotland of Asthal (Labour) in the House of Lords on Monday, 5 December 2005. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Terrorism Bill.
Terrorism Bill
No, I do not think that there is any intention for us to change this in the way that the noble Lord, Lord Goodhart, indicated. These are real changes in relation to the offence. The Government have listened very carefully. I hope that Committee Members will feel that we have gone a long way to meet the concerns that were raised in the other place, which we have decided to accept. I am sure that the noble Lord, Lord Goodhart, will be delighted that we have done so.
