It is also important in the context of the report—or it is, at least, interesting—that the report follows that up by stating:"““In a survey commissioned by the Chief Medical Officer . . . 34 per cent of respondents who have been affected by medical injury wanted an apology or explanation””." I am not disputing the principle and for at least one huge area in the NHS Redress Bill we will tackle this head on. I am merely disputing the fact that I cannot do it in this way.
