Proceeding contribution from Duke of Montrose (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 28 February 2006. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Natural Environment and Rural Communities Bill.
Natural Environment and Rural Communities Bill
I am grateful to the Minister for her explanation. However, the question arises whether some indication should be given in the Bill on the type of happenings which would trigger immediate termination. I hope that the Minister will think a little more about that before the next stage of the Bill. Accepted practices will be considered in the normal drawing up of an agreement, but we should consider whether a safeguard could be included in the Bill.
