Proceeding contribution from Lord Sharman (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 1 March 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Company Law Reform Bill [HL].
Company Law Reform Bill [HL]
Could I seek further clarification on that? If I remember rightly—I do not have the papers in front of me—the point with which Mr Myners was dealing was whether the voting instructions or intentions of nominee shareholders, which we come to in a different part of the Bill and have dealt with separately, were exercised by those holding the nomination as nominee. It was not whether the poll was conducted properly.
