Proceeding contribution from Earl of Listowel (Crossbench) in the House of Lords on Thursday, 9 March 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Work and Families Bill.
Work and Families Bill
I strongly support the amendment. I have very little to add to what has already been most eloquently said. Perhaps the Minister can indicate in the interim between now and Report what impact the provision might have on the public sector agreement target on children in care which sets a target for improving placement stability. It is a most important target for improving outcomes for children in care. I would be interested to know what impact the Government estimate this might have.
