Proceeding contribution from Eric Forth (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Friday, 10 March 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill on Climate Change and Sustainable Energy Bill.
Climate Change and Sustainable Energy Bill
Perhaps we can sit down together in the next few days to draft further amendments, because I am confident that an opportunity to draft such amendments will arise, given the need to scrutinise this important Bill very carefully. It pains me to say this, but I remain unconvinced by my hon. Friend’s new clause. Although my hon. Friend and I agree on most things, our friendship allows us occasionally to disagree on such matters. I can see what he is getting at, but new clause 3 is defective. I await his further explanation, because if he can answer my questions, he may yet persuade me to support his new clause.
