Proceeding contribution from Christopher Chope (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Friday, 17 March 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill on Climate Change and Sustainable Energy Bill 2005-06.

As amended in the Standing Committee, further considered.

I am relating the letter to the amendments, Madam Deputy Speaker. My right hon. Friend the Member for West Dorset challenged me on whether water vapour is a greenhouse gas, so I am citing a letter from The Sunday Telegraph. I have read the introductory paragraph to the letter, but the most important part of it says:"β€œβ€œThe most prevalent by far of all the greenhouse gasses is water vapour, representing more than 95 per cent., and it is 99.9 per cent. non-anthropogenic.””" Of course, water vapour that is produced as a result of fuel cell technology is anthropogenic.
