The Foreign Secretary, like the Chancellor of the Exchequer, said that the British economy compared favourably with economies in the eurozone. Does he accept that that is despite, not because of, his policies and those of other Governments in the past? In fact, economic and monetary union and the exchange rate mechanism must be repudiated, so will he take the opportunity expressly to repudiate those policies to ensure that we can continue to govern ourselves and, indeed, repeal European legislation, as I proposed, with the support of 45 Members of Parliament, when I suggested that we repeal future European legislation and parts of the acquis communautaire to reduce the burden on business?
