Proceeding contribution from Lord Thomas of Gresford (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 3 May 2006. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Government of Wales Bill.

Government of Wales Bill

We on these Benches oppose the amendments. We start on a different basis from the Official Opposition. It is our view, and always has been, that the Welsh Assembly should have the same legislative competence as the Scottish Parliament.
