Proceeding contribution from William Cash (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Friday, 16 June 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill on International Development (Reporting and Transparency) Bill.
International Development (Reporting and Transparency) Bill
As the Secretary of State is in the Chamber, is my hon. Friend conscious, in the context of what should be included in the annual report under clause 2, that the Bill does not provide for it to include figures on corruption? There is a reference in the Bill to progress in"““the better management of aid, including the prevention of corruption””," but no figures that would enable us to identify where the problem lies.
