Road Safety Bill [Lords]
I have encouraged my hon. Friend down an avenue that I did not want to encourage him down. We should use the existing structures and work as hard as we can to try to reach an agreement as quickly as possible, but we should not break the laws and treaties to which we have signed up. I hope that my hon. Friend the Member for Stroud is at least partially reassured. He should know that I am good hearted in these matters, and I hope that he will withdraw new clause 12.
