Proceeding contribution from Justine Greening (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 18 October 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill on Companies Bill (HL).

Companies Bill [Lords]

On Second Reading, the Minister said:"““If we went further, we would damage our success in attracting companies to incorporate in Britain””.—[Official Report, 6 June 2006; Vol. 447, c. 216.]" That is why I am asking whether the Government have assessed whether the amendments will damage British competitiveness.
