Proceeding contribution from Elfyn Llwyd (Plaid Cymru) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 22 November 2006. It occurred during Queen's speech debate on Debate on the Address.
Debate on the Address
Absolutely so. That is what one hopes will happen in due course, although perhaps we are hoping against hope there. The ““as long as it takes”” mantra is absolute nonsense. The longer Parliament is kept in the dark, the more the Government bring this place into disrepute and, crucially, the more they alienate those who elect us.
