Proceeding contribution from Anne Snelgrove (Labour) in the House of Commons on Monday, 11 December 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill on Offender Management Bill.
Offender Management Bill
Does my hon. Friend agree that the best probation services in the country—such as mine and hers—are undertaking the type of work and partnerships that she is giving examples of, but they are entirely voluntary? They are not necessarily being taken up by all probation services across the country to the extent that we would like. The Bill ensures that such partnerships will be enshrined in law.
