Proceeding contribution from Judy Mallaber (Labour) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 17 April 2007. It occurred during Opposition day on Occupational Pensions.

Occupational Pensions

I have not read the book that everyone is quoting as though it was the new Bible. I shall have to get a copy. The windfall tax covered the amount needed for the Government’s new deal—a programme which, along with other measures, has cut significantly unemployment in my constituency. It has also enabled us to spend less on funding unemployment, and to have more money for investment in public services.
