Proceeding contribution from Lord Oakeshott of Seagrove Bay (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Lords on Monday, 4 June 2007. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HL) and Debate on bill on Pensions Bill.

Pensions Bill

We support the amendment. The Government did not behave properly on the previous occasion that this happened. This is yet another example of a situation where it is not right to leave the Government with flexibility.
