Proceeding contribution from Jon Cruddas (Labour) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 12 December 2007. It occurred during Adjournment debate on Car Manufacturing.

Car Manufacturing

I appreciate that intervention, because that is my understanding as well. I made the point to give the Minister an opportunity to comment on it. That is why this debate, initiated by my hon. Friend the Member for Chorley, is timely. The objective of any sale should be to provide Jaguar Land Rover with the ownership, technology and investment structure that it needs to allow it to reach its full potential, while enabling Ford Motor Company to concentrate on its core business strategy.
