Proceeding contribution from Lord Chartres (Bishops (affiliation)) in the House of Lords on Monday, 14 January 2008. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee of the Whole House (HL) on Climate Change Bill [HL].
Climate Change Bill [HL]
I entirely agree with the noble Lord that it is imperative that that dimension is considered. Having a look at, "““the desirability of securing that the Committee (taken as a whole) has experience in or knowledge of the following””" it is clear that the international dimension is not spelled out in that list. I entirely agree with the noble Lord that it is very desirable that it should be. Therefore, by moving this amendment, we are looking for some assurance that it will be specifically in the membership of the committee.
