I, too, support the amendment of the noble Earl, Lord Howe, and the noble Baroness, Lady Finlay. The idea that any organisation should not be questioned is incredible, especially in a debate such as this. It is well known that paediatricians have had great difficulty with the General Medical Council. At a recent meeting of professional associations, 32 two members of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health tabled a vote of no confidence against what the General Medical Council was doing with regard to paediatricians. Something is very wrong when professional people feel that they have no confidence in an important body such as that. I intend to speak later on a number of related issues, but I wanted to say how strongly I support the amendment of the noble Earl, Lord Howe.
