Proceeding contribution from Jeremy Browne (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 2 July 2008. It occurred during Debate on bill on Finance Bill.
Finance Bill
Honestly, nobody has spent more time in Finance Bill discussions this year than I have, and there are some Members here who I have not even seen so far. However, I am more than happy to give way to all of them. The motivations behind new clauses 8 and 9 are in many ways laudable, and I share many of them, but there are all kinds of practical problems that would be insurmountable.
