Pensions Bill

I never suggested that PADA would not account properly for the money that it has spent or that the DWP would not account properly for the first £13 million or so that was spent on its own budget. But information received some time next year, after the event, tells us nothing about the total cost of the scheme. I was merely using that to show how little we know about the emerging cost profile of this scheme. We will not get any further today. I just want the Minister to know that his response has been profoundly unsatisfactory. We have to make more progress on this at Report. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment.
