moved Amendment No. 142: 142: After Clause 88, insert the following new Clause— ““Control orders: maximum duration After section 3 of the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005 (c. 2) insert— ““3A Duration of non-derogating control orders A non-derogating control order ceases to have effect at the end of the period of two years from the date on which it was made, unless there are exceptional circumstances justifying its renewal.”””” The noble Lord said: I beg to move.
