Does my hon. Friend share the caution of many environmental and economic campaigners over the scrappage scheme? Six of every seven cars brought in this country are imported, which will restrict the impact of the scheme on the UK economy. Could the scheme be given a new direction at the end of the period that the Chancellor has put in place?
