Proceeding contribution from Lord Cameron of Dillington (Crossbench) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 24 March 2010. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on Flood and Water Management Bill.
Flood and Water Management Bill
I thank the Minister for his reply, but I have to say that under normal circumstances I would not be satisfied with it and I think I would wish to return to the issue at a later stage. The Bill provides that the authority may consider aspects other than those connected to any flood risk, but I want there to be a duty to do so. The Minister’s words did not fully satisfy me, but since there is not going to be another stage of the Bill, I shall not press the matter.
