Proceeding contribution from Stephen Timms (Labour) in the House of Commons on Monday, 12 July 2010. It occurred during Committee of the Whole House (HC) and Debate on bill on Finance Bill.

Finance Bill

I am disappointed by that response. I am disappointed that my hon. Friend the Member for Brent North (Barry Gardiner) did not get an answer to the telling point that he put to the Minister. There is a real issue about how this large increase in investment is supposed to be achieved at exactly the time that incentives for investment are being reduced. Nevertheless, I shall not press the amendment to the vote. I beg to ask leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn. Question proposed, That the clause stand part of the Bill.
