Proceeding contribution from Stephen Gilbert (Liberal Democrat) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 25 January 2011. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee of the Whole House (HC) on European Union Bill.

European Union Bill

I note the accusation of Stockholm syndrome, but I suspect that the hon. Gentleman is suffering from amnesia. The Liberal Democrat manifesto was clear: it said that there would be a referendum"β€œβ€œthe next time a British government signs up for fundamental change in the relationship between the UK and the EU.””" The coalition is committed to ensuring that that does not happen.
