UK Government's Energy Policy

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change has recently had meetings—in the past week, I think—with the organisations to which the hon. Gentleman refers. I have set up a business advisory group, which includes representatives from across industry in Wales. At the group’s first meeting, energy requirements and energy policy were at the forefront of people’s minds. I can therefore reassure the hon. Gentleman that I am examining the issue in my capacity as Secretary of State for Wales. I will continue to do whatever facilitating I can of the dialogue between the Department of Energy and Climate Change, my Department, the Welsh Assembly Government and businesses, because the hon. Gentleman raises a very valid point. We need to consider this issue carefully. It is extremely important to our business community.
