UK Government's Energy Policy
The Secretary of State ought to know because the studies have shown—I have spoken to the previous Transport Minister about the Severn tunnel and he looked into it—that the problem is easily soluble. That is not a serious objection to electrifying all the way to Swansea. Perhaps by talking to the previous Transport Minister, Lord Adonis, the right hon. Lady should get the business case that he had before him, which included electrification all the way to Swansea.
