Proceeding contribution from Geraint Davies (Labour) in the House of Commons on Thursday, 10 March 2011. It occurred during Grand Committee proceedings (HC) on UK Government's Energy Policy.
UK Government's Energy Policy
Does the hon. Gentleman not accept now that some 99% of the scientific community say that if we look at a simple chart, global warming can be explained through natural causes—the sun, earthquakes and so on—to a certain extent. However, if we take all that out, the differences in temperatures over the last couple of hundred years can be explained by human activity. That is not doubted by anybody other than the hon. Gentleman and a few other maverick planks.
