Proceeding contribution from Guto Bebb (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 30 March 2011. It occurred during Ministerial statement on The Budget.
The Budget
I welcome the Budget, which in my view is a Budget for growth. In particular, I welcome the reduction in corporation tax rates. However, in my rural constituency, many businesses that are creating employment are small limited companies that will not be able to take advantage of the reductions in the main corporation tax rates. I would like some certainty that, in due course, there will be a further look at how small companies corporation tax may be reduced in line with the reduction in the main rates.
