The Budget
That is a very good question, and I am grateful for the opportunity to update the Committee. We have applied to the European Commission—we made a formal application just before the Budget—for a derogation on fuel duty that would apply only to remote islands, including places such as Orkney and Shetland, the Western Isles and the Isles of Scilly.
