Proceeding contribution from Cheryl Gillan (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 30 March 2011. It occurred during Grand Committee proceedings (HC) on The Budget.

The Budget

I am particularly keen to look at the areas that could grow, and the south Wales valleys is one of those areas. But it is not a matter for me; it is a matter for the Welsh Assembly Government. I hope that we will be able to have constructive dialogue, despite the fact that we are moving up to a forthcoming election, where of course political hostilities will continue across the board. But we should be considering how we can build the economy together by taking joint action that could be complementary.
