Proceeding contribution from Lord Hain (Labour) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 30 March 2011. It occurred during Grand Committee proceedings (HC) on The Budget.

The Budget

My hon. Friend, as always, has made a very telling point. The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Wales should reply to it and see what argument he can come up with to try to justify it, especially given that the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister, when in Opposition, ranted on almost every day about banking bonuses. [ Interruption. ] I will not repeat exactly what my hon. Friend the Member for Vale of Clwyd said.
