The Budget
I am grateful again to the hon. Gentleman for giving way; to his credit, he has been extremely generous. Will he remind us, however, which Government were in power and due to be regulating the banks at the time? Speaking of standing up to the bankers, why did the last Government not stand up to the bankers before the crash?
