It is a pleasure to follow my hon. Friend the Member for Wansbeck (Ian Lavery), who gave a comprehensive account of why we should support the very precise amendment on the bank levy. A banker writing in the 1920s wrote:"““April is the cruellest month, breeding""Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing""Memory and desire””," and went on to talk about the present month as ““depraved May””.
