Chemical Weapons: Syria
- Question
-
To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, what assessment the Joint Intelligence Committee has made of the claim by the US Administration that preparations for an imminent attack using chemical weapons are being made by the Syrian Government.
- Answer
-
The Prime Minister has tasked the Chairman of the Joint Intelligence Committee to provide the National Security Council with frequently updated assessments of the information held by the government and our allies on matters of this nature. It would not be appropriate, for reasons of national security, to make these assessments public.
