To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, if he will estimate the cost to public funds of the maintenance of (a) stables of horses and (b) kennels of hounds for the purpose of hunting foxes on the defence estate. - MOD does not maintain stables of horses and kennels of hounds for the purpose of hunting on the defence estate.
Answer

Mr. Corbett: To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will estimate the cost to public funds of the maintenance of (a) stables of horses and (b) kennels of hounds for the purpose of hunting foxes on the defence estate. [28919] Mr. Spellar: The Ministry of Defence does not maintain stables of horses and kennels of hounds for the purpose of hunting on the defence estate.
