Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment has been made of whether Terminal 5 will handle passengers using the third runway at Heathrow Airport if constructed.

Answer: Mr. Page: To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what assessment has been made of whether Terminal 5 will handle passengers using the third runway at Heathrow Airport if constructed. [139860] Mr. McNulty: In our appraisal of the option for a third runway at Heathrow, we are considering a number of options for the handling of the additional passengers associated with a new runway. However, the contribution of Terminal 5 in handling these passengers was not included in any of these options other than for, possibly, transferring passengers.
