Identity Cards Bill
The Home Secretary has just said that ethnic minorities have nothing to fear from this measure. Why, then, does the Government’s own regulatory impact assessment state:"““There are also cultural problems about getting service providers to ask only certain groups for proof of identity for fear of being accused of discrimination””?" Is not that proof that there is a danger for ethnic minorities?
