Terrorism Bill

My Lords, 28 days is much less. Some have argued for preserving the status quo of 14 days. We need to argue out the issue carefully in Committee. The point that I was trying to make is that it is unfair of the noble Lord, Lord Foulkes, to sully the argument by trying to suggest that it was merely political opportunism. I totally reject that and hope that the noble Lord will withdraw those comments when we debate the issues in Committee.
