Proceeding contribution from Baroness Billingham (Labour) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 31 January 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill and Committee proceeding on London Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Bill.
London Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Bill
Perhaps I may add a brief point. I chair an urban regeneration company. This is the precise framework and wording to which we have to work in that environment. It is more, and different, and separate to just ““having an interest in”” the issue. Those of us with a local authority background understand the point because, as we know, we then all sit back. However, it is quite a different concept for an urban regeneration company and, I believe, for an urban development area.
