Proceeding contribution from Lord Harris of Haringey (Labour) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 1 February 2006. It occurred during Debate on bill on Terrorism Bill.
Terrorism Bill
Then before she completely sits down, My Lords, the first three parts of the amendment are precisely that in terms of setting definitions about the way Section 44 might be used. They clearly tighten the definition, and that may meet some of what the noble Lord and my noble friend are trying to achieve. But the fourth point, about publicity, seems to be a separate issue and I am not sure that it is helpful to the objectives the noble Baroness is trying to encourage us to meet.
